I’m an experienced UX Designer who likes to solve process problems. I encourage cross functional teams to take a moment and evaluate their own processes, and discover better ways to engage with one another. The best customer experience comes out of a solid foundation of teamwork between the UX, development, and product teams. My passion is to make that chemistry happen!

2019 - Present

Visa | Product Manager

As the Design Systems Product manager my role is to optimize design & development operations, enabling products to go to market sooner. I have put together scalable intake processes for UX, usage models for Product, and funding agreements for development.

The design system poses a unique opportunity where it can influence the behavior of all 3 work functions with the aim of making a more efficient and collaborative environment. The system’s intake process is a particularly effective way to mature a UX team from a “Design as art” mentality to a “Design as function” culture.

 

The 2ndary product I promised the organization is “Culture change.” Many enterprises suffer from poor communication or book-ended responsibilities, and it has been my personal mission to aid in shifting to a model of accountability and ownership.

Campaigning long & short-term maturity plans to the cross functional layers of directors are a common part of my activities. To influence and gain support from other functions, I map out what a UX immersed operation looks like and create a vision for our organization.

My factory floor contributions include the analysis of product roadmaps and identifying high value work with UX managers, setting expectations of how designers should engage the product & development teams, and frequent sessions to educate the Product & Development teams on what they can expect from UX designers.

  • Managed outsourcing of work to AOR while road mapping how to grow the UX team

  • Collaborated with stakeholders to create a product road map

  • Pitched and set product vision

  • Mentor & art direct visual designers

  • Oversaw the development of product vision starting from requirements, sizing, to dev engagement


2012 - 2015

DELL TECHNOLOGIES | UX Designer

  • Built an internal sales application from the ground up

  • Interviewed & shadowed target users on behavior, objectives, and methods

  • Regularly collaborate with the UX pattern governance team

  • Worked alongside front-end developers to execute on requirements


T3 | Art Director

  • Collaborate on design campaigns for clients such as Dell, J.P. Morgan Chase, Coca-Cola, & Universal Studios

  • Create assets for email & digital media banners to reflect campaigns

  • Designed and pitched email templates for campaigns
